Today, Christian and I have been married for 7 years! I am sad to say I cannot find my CD with all my pictures on it (I REALLY hope I didn't lose it in the move), but I am even sadder Christian and I coudn't spend our anniversary together. He had to go to Michigan for work this week.
Even with him gone, I am so happy to be married to the man I am still totally in love with and each and every day he gives me more reasons to love him. From the amazing Daddy that he is, to the accomplished chef he is becoming (yes I am SO lucky he cooks), and as my very best friend, I couldn't ask for more. Honey, I love you!

KAR Invitational Dance Competition
Makenna did fantastic at her first competition! She performed two routines and I was so proud of how well she did. Her first routine was Rockstar with her MiniFlips.
Let me explain the awards for those not familiar to the dance world...which was me just yesterday! Each dance gets a ranking from the judges, Diamond, Saphhire or Ruby. Most dances receive either Saphhire or Ruby and only a select few ever get the Diamond ranking. For Rockstar, they received Saphhire...not bad for their first time in a competition! Then they compete against all other entries in their age category. So, for the 8 and under category for Level 1 small group, they received 2nd place overall. For both of these they got a trophy for the gym and then each girl gets a ribbon. Finally, they got a judges special award titled "Pomtastic".
Next was a LONG wait till the trio. We did get to watch the rest of the solos from our gym, and both of Makenna's good friends did their solo (Makenna is dying to have one of her own). Finally Makenna, Emma, and Bailey did their Lollipop routine.

They were amazing!!! They did such a great job and looked adorable out there. I can't wait to see the video. Brigitte (their dance teacher and the one in the following picture ) said they got off stage and all said, "That was so much fun, can we do it again?" Good thing for them, they have another compeition in 2 weeks! At awards, they got....DIAMOND!! That's the highest honor and only a few were even awarded that! They asked the girls their names and they talked so well into the microphone. I was so proud of all them. There were no other trios in their age category, but for all levels, of all ages, they were the only one with a Diamond ranking. They got a big trophy for coming in first.
Even though we have to take the trophy back to the gym, Makenna wanted to sleep with it in her room tonight. She feels so special to have a BIG trophy. What a great first competition and thanks Nana Ward, Daddy, Camden, and Laney for coming to be such a huge support!

Spring Break
No big plans for break this year, but we managed to have some fun. Here is what we did!
Monday: Stay home! A beautiful day of nothing! One exciting thing is that Makenna did her back walkover by herself today for the first time. I managed to get a video. We also took a nice bike ride to the park. Camden is getting so good at riding his bike!
Tuesday:
Happy St. Patricks Day! It was green day and Poppy's birthday. We fingerpainted while Delaney was sleeping today. The kids made beautiful pictures for Poppy's birthday party and they we went to dinner at San Tan Flat. I actually took pictures of our dinner and their paintings but then accidentally deleted them to take a video on Friday! No more pictures the rest of the week. :(
Wednesday: Today was a practice for Makenna's competition. I took Camden and Delaney with me and they were able to play in the gym while she practiced. Makenna is counting down the days until she performs Lollipop on stage for the first time.

Thursday: We were so excited to go see trains today! Nanny and Gramps have a man in their park that has a grand set-up of trains outside his house. We had it organized that we would show up at 9:30 to see them. So, Camden, Delaney and I show up at the park at 9:30 and the man must have forgotten we were coming because he wasn't home. We did look at the trains, houses, people, animals and the rest of the set-up, but Camden kept asking to, "see them move!" Unfortunately this didn't work out, so we took a walk around the park with Nanny and Gramps visiting people. Camden did end up getting a blue sucker, so he was happy (he still missed the trains though!)
Meanwhile, on the way, I had dropped Makenna off at her friend Bailey's house and Angela took them both to get their fingers and toes painted for competition. They chose pink with white polkadots! Thanks again Angela for taking them!
That night Makenna had practice again. Also, the new bounce house across from the gym opened up so I let Makenna jump for 30 minutes. She had SO much fun. The owner is going to set-up some monthly rate so I can let the kids jump when I am coaching and they don't have class. Perfect!
Friday: Practice again! This time it was more of a dress rehearsal, with all the girls watching eachother as the audience. That night, Christian and I went out for our anniversary to Texas Roadhouse. It will be 7 years on Monday, but he will be out-of-town. Uncle Ross and Aunt Amy babysat...thanks!
Tomorrow is competition, so I will post the results on Sunday!

Delaney's one year check-up
Oh how busy the last week has been! Last Tuesday Delaney went in for her one year check-up. This one appointment turned into 3 additional appointments, not to mention a sick little girl! First off her stats:
Height: 30.2 inches (75th percentile)
Weight: 21.7 pounds (50th percentile) This is where the first additional apointment came in. She has fallen from the 75th percentile to now the 50th. Just because of this fall, the doctor wants her to come in for an extra weight check in a month to make sure she isn't continuing to make a fall. If you look at her, she's still a chunky girl though!
Next, we found that she had two ear infections...poor girl. This is where the second additional appointment comes in. We have an appointment in two weeks to check to make sure her ears are better.
Finally we were all ready for her 3 shots. Well, come to find out, the state has changed the policy on this. We don't have coverage for shots so we have always gone through the state, but still with the doctor. Now, unfortunately they cannot give the shots there, I had to go to the county health office to get them. So, I lugged Makenna, Camden and Delaney onto the next appointment where instead of combining it into 3 shots, they gave her 5 shots at once!
Her poor little body did not handle this trauma very well. By the time we got home, she was running a fever of 103 and by nighttime was over 105. Even with Motrin and Tylenol round the clock, we had trouble keeping her at 103. As soon as it would begin to wear off, her fever would spike back to 105. She was this way for the next 3 days. Poor little girl was just not herself. As of Friday she was finally feeling a little better.
Anyway, one somewhat healthy girl. Here are her current interests:
Walking: She can take up to 5 steps, but only when encouraged, she's not walking as her primary mode of transportation yet. Boy is she fast at crawling though!
Food: ALL the food she can get her hands on (no picky eater here). She wants whatever she sees and lets you know.
Babbling: She constantly makes noises that we like to pretend are words, but are just her exploring language. No real words yet but she sure is expressive and cute with her own language. Oh she does hold things up in the air and say "is" for this!
Blocks: She loves stacking and knocking down towers of blocks. Makenna and Camden do not appreciate this one.
Reading: Delaney is now very into books. She likes to have books read to her...for a short period of time. Even more though, she loves looking at her own books. This has been a lifesaver in restruants.

Ross and Amy's Wedding
Well it's official. Amy is now part of the family that I joined almost 7 years ago. I am so excited to get my first and only sister-in-law and even more excited that it's her. She's great!
They couldn't have asked for a more perfect day. The weather, the ceremony and the reception were all beautiful. Of course much of my attention was focused on the adorable ring bearer and flower girl. That's right, Camden and Makenna were fortunate enough to be a part of this special day.
Between the two I was most worried about how Camden would react with the huge crowd of people staring at him. He was excited to be a ring bearer, although when he was first asked he was most excited that he would get to be a "bear". He thought he got a great costume and everything. Once we explained that this wasn't the case, he was still eager to be a part of the day. He stood at the back quite reluctant to continue on, but my dad was at the back and pointed to where Daddy was and Camden slowly walked to the front. I was so proud of him! He looked so charming in his little tux!
There was another flowergirl, Emma.
Christian was the best man and did a fantastic job. I don't have any funny stories about him because he knew what his job would entail, but nevertheless I was proud of him! What a handsome best man!
I haven't forgotten the bride and groom! Amy looked beautiful in her wedding gown and Ross was all smiles.
Delaney was there too!
Camden had some highs and lows because he was quite tired, but after some milk he got a little goofy. He ended up getting pretty tired and my parents took him and Delaney to their house by about 8:30.
This was probably the only time I saw Makenna looking tired or bored. After we finished eating she was ALL over the dance floor. She did cartwheels, the chicken dance, the hokey pokey, the electric slide, the macarena and every dance inbetween. She was out there dancing with everyone and even by herself. She captivated the crowd! :)

The Proud Parents.
The First Dance. (love this picture!)
I love these pictures of Daddy with the kids too! I now realize there are none of me though! I was there, I just took all the pictures. In case you are wondering, I wore a black dress with spaghetti straps that had subtle sparkles all over. (the same dress I wore to your wedding Allison)
Goofy daddy, goofy Camden.
