Dad's Retirement

After many years (not sure exactly how many) as an air traffic controller, Dad retired this summer.  I was so glad our whole family was able to attend the retirement party.  It was great meeting all his work friends and hearing all the stories of how Dad tormented everyone at work.  (of course!) 

We went out as a family for a different party to celebrate at Dave and Buster's.  They kids had fun playing all the arcade games and at the end of the night, used all their tickets together to get him Dave and Buster boxers.  They love their Papa.

No pictures of the fathers, but we spent Father's Day with Neena, Poppy, Ross, Amy, and Reegan.  The kids are always the most fun to take the pictures of, so here are the 4 cousins.

 

This Summer at Dance Camp...

So, we have a new house, but to be honest, we don't really like it. :(  It's not what we expected, so unfortunately we haven't been taking any pictures.  It needs a lot of work, and we had some help to get it jump started.

Random Pool Pics

So, I'm not sure I mentioned it, but we have been living with my parents for 9 months now.  We have a house we are about to close on, but in the mean time we have been living here, which means we have a pool!  The kids are loving it.  Here are some random pictures of the pool.  They are not great pictures, but it's fun to see how excited they are. :)

Our New Mini Flip!!!

We are so excited that Delaney gets to be a Mini Flip this year!  She has been watching Makenna perform for years and wondered when it was her turn.  Well, it's here!  She was so excited for her first day of Minis!!!

Wash That Man

Wow!  I have been BUSY!!  Moving into our new house, starting up school and dance again, it's been a lot to do.  I am trying to get caught up....but it may take a while. 

This new post is the last post of Makenna's 7-year-old solo (sniff, sniff).  I really loved this solo, and she did quite well with it. Part of me wants her to keep it this year too, but I know she would get bored doing the same thing for 2 years.  So, here is the last time she performed it, back in May.  She placed 4th overall (out of 60+ girls, and the highest from her studio). 

We are so proud of her and how hard she worked this year.  It was a very successful season.  She is a little performer who just shines on the stage.  I'm so excited she found a way to showcase her talents.  :)
