Well, well, well

We had the kids well checks over the past week. Fortunately, they are..."well."

Camden's stats:

Sight: Pass
Hearing: Pass
Blood Pressure: forgot to ask the number, but it was funny to see his shocked face when the band gave his arm a "hug".
Weight: 23rd percentile (need to stay on whole milk for a while longer, but I am just happy he has put 2 1/2 pounds on in the past couple of months. We've been working on that. )
Height: 37th percentile.
Shots: 5 of them! He was hysterical, he was so cooperative until the first shot hurt more than he thought it would. Ice cream afterwards helped a little.
Overall Health: Fantastic!

Delaney's stats:

Weight: 25 pounds (60th percentile)
Height: 33.8 inches (92nd percentile) Holy Cow! Can you believe how tall she is? Is she our future volleyball or basketball star?
Shots: 1 (flu vaccine). She didn't cry at all, no flinch and loved the bandaid. What a trooper!
Overall Health: Fabulous

Makenna's stats:

Sight: 20/30 - have to keep an "eye" on this
Hearing: Pass
Blood Pressure: Pass
Weight: 36.5 pounds (22nd percentile)
Height: 40.5 inches (9th percentile) Good things come in small packages I tell her
Shots: Just a flu shot (she screamed, not cried, just a high pitched scream)
Overall Health:
Sensational

We are so blessed to have healthy children.

Girly Girl Hair

The Farmer girls spent some time at our house today and I got to have fun doing girly hairstyles! :) I have been getting ideas for new hairstyles from a great website. It's so fun to try new things!

Here's Julia.

Here's Makenna's do.

And Morgan (had trouble getting her to sit still for the picture-she did great for the hairstyle) I do think this one was much cuter than the picture shows.

Riley too.

I just put little pigtails in Laney's hair.

Then Daymon and Logan came over and I did Daymon's hair too (no pictures of that though).
Here's the Elite Eight.

Fun cousin time! Plus it was great to see Michael, Allison and Todd.

Grocery Shopping

Makenna decided to go shopping today with her little shopping cart. She thought she needed a list so she got a crayon and paper out and wrote all the things she wanted to get. These were not normal things though. They were specific toys that she and Camden love to play with.

The amazing thing is, I didn't even help her with writing her list. She sounded out each word and here is what she came up with!! She added the words Elmo (Amo) and Dogfood at the end, and I'll admit, the "oo" in food is the ONLY thing I helped her with...she was worked up about not knowing what letters make the "eww sound"

I was especialling impressed with Starfish and Octopus, and that she knew a silent "e" came at the end of Phone (Fone) and Face (fase). Smartypants! Here is the key.

Happy Birthday Christian!

There sure are a lot of birthday festivities going on around here! Today is Christian's birthday!

What a great husband I have too, let me just tell you! He is always so thoughtful, sweet and just great to be around. Not only is he constantly taking care of me and finding ways to make me laugh and smile, he's also an amazing daddy. Those kids LOVE their Daddy and he makes their life so much fun. I couldn't ask for a better husband and they couldn't ask for a better Daddy! I love you and the kids love you! Happy birthday!

A D-Backs 4th Birthday Party

For Camden's 4th birthday, we decided to celebrate at the Diamondbacks game. It was perfect because it was youth day and it happened to fall on the right day. We bought tickets for all the family to come, and they did! What a little boy's dream! :)

The day started with presents at home though! This huge present had him quite curious.
Makenna wasn't actually part of the present.
He knew just what to do.
Wearing his new hat and opening his remote controlled tarantula (he thought it was real and it scared him at first!)
To make the trip to the game even more exciting (and to save on parking costs), we decided to take the new lightrail that has a stop very near Chase Field. The kids thought that was so fun!

At the game, we may have been high up, but we thought we had great seats. Tons of room to move around too.

Logan and Makenna

Uncle Ross and Aunt AmyNana and Poppy
Aunt Megan and Uncle Greg
Kelley and MeLaney thought she was pretty cool to have her own seat (that kept folding up on her!)
Aunt Kelley and Delaney (trying to get her to nap...no deal)
Just before we left, Makenna participated in a dance thing and got a free Zhu, Zhu Pet Hamster.

Waiting for the lightrail on the way back. Who are these hamsters (I mean kids!)

Some kids were wide awake...

Others crashed.

Then on to dinner at Culvers.

Camden's favorite cupcake flavor...blue!

Overall, a truly special birthday. Some presents included tons of Cars things (shirts, computer, robe, beach towel), a Home Depot tool box and work bench, a dumptruck Lego car, all the Herbie movies, a new game about sharing, a Sea Doo toy for the bath, and so much more! He scored!

What a fantastic day it was for our little boy. I know he had a blast and thanks to all the family that made it special!
