Thunder Alley Football

It was another great season of football for Camden and his Cardinals this Winter! This is Cam's 5th season with the team, and you can really see them working together to make real plays start to happen! I just love watching him get so into the whole thing! He is well liked by the coaches because he is a hard worker who follows directions. Although he is quiet, he is starting to become better friends with all the players too!

This past Saturday he had his awards ceremony and was so happy that Makenna and I could come watch him get his trophy!

Makenna got to play a little her friend Kennedy whose twin brother, Sam, is on the team. This was before the ceremony of course!

The coach said great things about each of the kids. They have had the same coaches for the past 5 seasons too, Coach Michelle is on the left, and the main coach. She is intense! She also is the mother of one of the other players on the team. Coach Megan is the assistant and has been their live-in nanny for years (she's not anymore but she used to be). They work great with the kids.

One of the player's dad has been taking pictures all season and gave us each a CD with 381 pictures covering the season. Here are some of them that include Camden!

I only put this one in to show Christian. He has been the fill-in assistant coach this season for 3 games. He loves it!

Competition Updates

I keep these records more for Makenna than anything else, but she has had a few competitions lately that she has done very well at!

Spotlight
We traveled far for this competition and Makenna had a great time dancing her trio and solo. They awarded the girls gems based on their scores, Diamond, then Ruby, then Sapphire. Overall her solo and her trio got diamond! Then for overall, Makenna placed 2nd and got a plaque!!! Trio placed 1st and got a gorgeous diamond trophy!!! Great day for the girls!

Variety Show

My district pu on their second annual variety show this year and I managed to get the girls in to perform their trio. They were a hit!! The show mostly consisted of faculty music acts, but there was a junior high cheer squad and high school dance team that performed. The hit of the show was definitely the three little girls though! They danced their trio, Mr. Postman and had so much fun at this low-key event. It's always fun for them to perform...no matter the stage! They got their picture in the program and I wrote up a little bio for them. It was fun! Then Makenna spent the night at Bailey's house...great day for her!

StarPower

This past weekend, the girls competed and again did great!!! It was a HUGE competition with lots of talent. Overall, all three girls placed in the top 4!!! Best of all, Makenna placed first and won! She was so excited she got a plaque that says "First Place Champion." Her trio also placed 1st and got the same plaque. Plus the girls received a special judges award, "Super Sweethearts." Great day for the little dancers!!

Happy 3rd birthday Delaney!!!

Today our little girl turns 3 and I can't believe it. Delaney, you are the sweetest, most lovable little girl!! Everyday, you amaze us with your positive attitude and caring demenour. You are such a good mommy to your, "Laney's Eeyore," and make us laugh with the backpack full of play food you carry around daily. You love to dance to any and all music and ask us to watch your spins. Your favorite songs are "Grenade," and "Time of Your Life." You love to play with your brother and sister and just get along with everyone. I love how thoughful you are, always checking to make sure everyone is happy. Oh, and how could I forget the special "Laney hugs you give?" They are the best! You are a sweetie and we love you SO MUCH!!!

Football Season

I have no great pictures or videos of this season, but it went really well for the Cardinals!! They ended up 4-2 and Camden has become quite the defensive player. He would much rather be pulling flags than running with the ball.



Everytime I got the camera out, though, no flags pulled!

He loves playing around with his time far more than the games. He wants to pull everyones flags, even me when I'm not wearing them!

They had their tournament this past weekend, going in ranked 4th (16 teams made the tournament). Not a bad ranking for a young team! They won their first game but lost the 2nd game. We look forward to Spring season. Go Cardinals!!!!

Rapunzel Birthday Party

We celebrated Delaney's 3rd birthday this weekend, and it true Laney-style, it rained the day of her party! This is what happened last year too, the weather was gorgeous all week until the day of the party. Then everyone had to dress warm and we had to move the party indoors.

Luckily it was just family in attendance this year, so we enjoyed the nice (um, LOUD) time with all the aunts, uncles and cousins!

Delaney wanted a Tangled party this year, so she got just that. She was a little grumpy at the beginning of the party, but she warmed up with Daddy! I LOVE this picture of her with Daddy!!!! Precious!

Reegan met my side of the family. She is getting so big...and cute! :)

Then we had a pinata.

Now, even though Delaney has a sword in this picture, they actually pulled strings. Only one string opens the pinata, and wouldn't you know it, the VERY first string pulled opened it!! Luckily it was the birthday girl that pulled it!

We sang Happy Birthday and then at this TERRIBLE cake. We had to return it because it was SO SOGGY. Never eat "Tres Leche" cake. Delaney said, "This cake is NOT nice and yummy, it's yucky." Daddy went to get a new one!

So happy to have a nice party for our sweet little lady!!!

Kid Fix

Wow! A month off blogging and you would have thought I could have gotten a ton of things done...but I haven't! I have a lot of catching up to do in reading blogs I see too. The whole family has been sick the last 3 weeks with sickness after sickness and I am going crazy! :)
