(broken into 3 days because I take SO many pictures...it may get a little to be a little much, but I want the kids to see a ton of pictures!)
This past weekend we took a trip to Legoland with Christian's family. The kids were so excited to go somewhere that had rides, even though they had no idea what to expect. I had no idea what to expect, but it turned out to be a really enjoyable trip! Legoland is perfect for little kids, in fact I think it's more geared toward a younger crowd than most other theme parks. The kids could ride just about everything, as long as they were 36 inches tall. There were a few rides that required a height of 40 inches (which both Makenna and Camden fall just short of) but they could ride most everything. Delaney enjoyed watching all the people and excitement and was able to get out of the stroller to crawl around ever so often.
We left at 4:00am on Saturday for a carride of 6 hours. The kids were fantastic! I definitely overpacked activities, fearing the kids would get bored, but I guess living so far from everything and being in the car all the time helps get the kdis used to long car rides. Even Delaney was great!

I brought "Monkey Max" to be our traveling companion, he lights up all different colors, which was great when it was still dark. Isn't this a great picture of Camden?

Laney-silly smile.

We went straight to Legoland.

The kids were in awe that everything around them was made completely of Legos.

The first ride was driving a zebra car on a safari. This turned out to be Camden's favorite ride of the whole trip!

Then the kids went to get their own driver's license in Junior Driving School. These were the cutest cars that the kids got to drive around a race track by themselves!

They passed!

Had to take this picture of Sergeant Paul Taylor with Sergeant LegoGuy!

Makenna's favorite part of the trip was just playing with Legos. There were so many stations where you could just sit and build whatever you wanted. On many of the rides they had lego stations built into the lines so the kids could play while the adults waited in line. Such a great idea!

Camden and the "very cool robot"

There was great play area where they had legos, water activities, slides, a train, basically an area for toddlers to run and have some fun. Delaney loved the freedom to crawl and cruise about.

Camden did get a minor injury when he fell and cut his lip and mouth pretty bad. Unfortunately this affected his ability to eat the rest of the trip, which affected his hunger, which then affected his demeanor, so he was a little whiny the rest of the trip. He still had a great time though!

Makenna was eaten by a lion!

Laney rode the train (her only "ride")

Then we went to this Egyptian show where they asked for volunteers to be on stage before it even started. Makenna wanted to volunteer and had the choice to be either a dancer or puppeteer. Of course she wanted to dance. Okay, I thought, "Miss Performer" will just light up on stage like she usually does. Instead, she just stood there! She kept looking at the two other girls also just standing there and never moved an inch! Afterwards she told me she was waiting for them to start and said next time she would dance even if no one else did. Silly girl!
The park closes at 5 pm (Laney was wiped!) So we just took some quick pictures with some famous characters.

Great first day!
