Thanksgiving

We are so thankful for so many elements of our life (family, health, love, so so much!).

Makenna:
I am thankful for: my home, food, Mommy, Daddy, Camden, Delaney, bear, dance, coloring, Mrs. Mellow (teacher)

Camden:
Bolt, Ball, Daddy, Makenna, Makenna, Delaney, football

Delaney:
(and I swear she actually answered!) Eeyore, Daddy, Mommy, Kenna, Cam-Man, fork (we were eating at the time)

Christian:
I am thankful that so many people love and care for our kids and that I have a good job.

Kerry:
I am so thankful for our family. I am thankful the kids love school, family and friends. I am thankful we have stable jobs and a home. I am thankful we have wonderful people to take care of our kids.

For Thanksgiving we were so thankful to spend the holiday with family. This was the year of the Taylor's, so we had our feast there, but we did manage to stop by the Ward side too.

Look, just a coincidence, but Camden and Logan were wearing the same shirt! Delaney wasn't feeling her best this day, but she sure loves when Daddy holds her (in case you don't know, she is SUCH a Daddy's girl!)

Makenna and Daymon

We barely got to see Nanny and Gramps

Then it was off to the Taylor's.

Makenna was sure to show everyone what she wanted from the Black Friday ads.

Camden and Gigi played some piano.

So huggable!

After the meal, the kids set up their tree.

I hope everyone else had a nice Thanksgiving spent with loving family and friends!

A Feast for a Preschooler

Camden had his Thanksgiving feast today! I missed both of Makenna's because of work, but this year I had Wednesday off. Camden was very excited to bring our food and eat with friends. When we got there, however, he only wanted to play with Laney and Mommy. We had a good time!

Riley's 6th birhday

Our niece, Riley, turned 6 years old and we celebrated her birthday on Tuesday. It was just a low-key party with just the cousins, and right after gymnastics. Riley is such a sweet girl and it was great to see her for her special day! Happy birthday Riley!!!

A Kindergarten Feast

Makenna had her Thanksgiving feast at Kindergarten on Tuesday. I was happy to bring Camden and Delaney with me.

Here is our happy pilgrim.

Their meal consisted of chicken nuggets, corn, rolls, pudding, and an Oreo turkey they made.

She also made a placemat for Thankgiving.

I wanted to get pictures of her with her friends, but it just didn't work out. Hopefully when we go to the zoo next week (yeah!) I can do that.

Makenna - Student of the Week

Just like in preschool, each student in Makenna's Kindergarten class has the opportunity to be the student of the week. They get to bring a poster all about themselves, put an item in the Mystery Bag with clues, and bring their favorite book to share with the class.

Here are all the facts you needed to know about our little Kindergartener:

All About MAKENNA
I am 5 years old.
My favorite color is pink.
My favorite animal is a flamingo.
My favorite food is applesauce.
My favorite place is Disneyland.
When I grow up I want to be a vet.
My favorite things to do are color and dance.
If I had one wish I would wish for a playground.

For the MYSTERY BAG, she had to pick one item and we had to make up clues about what that item could be. Here are her clues, see if you can guess!

Clue #1
We are an item used by girls and boys,
We come in many colors and make some noise.

Clue #2
At the store, we come in a pair,
Take us home and we're fun to wear.

Clue #3
Watch us in action, follow our beat,
When we put on our dancing feet!

What do you think it is????

Okay, she may have had a little help from Christian and I with the clues, but she came up with ALL the rhyming words. It was a fun little project.

Finally, the last part of Student of the Week was to bring in your favorite book. Makenna has a favorite read independently book (Hop on Pop) and a favorite read-to-her book (Pinkalicious). For whatever reason, that day she really wanted to bring this silly CareBear book called, "Sister for Sam."

It was a great week for Makenna. What a great student of the week!

Dairy Farm

Camden's preschool class went to the Dairy Farm last week. It was strange not having Makenna there, but the three of us (Camden, Delaney and me) still had a great time.

The first thing our group did was feed the goats.
The kids got to pet a bunny.
I love this picture with Laney looking at her big brother!

Next, the kids brushed the goats. The goats loved it!

There was a milk bar with 15 different flavors to choose from. Camden insisted he just wanted regular milk! Delaney tried grape!
There was a hay maze and luckily Camden made it out!

After this we went on a hayride to all the cows. We even saw a baby that had just been born that morning.
It was a fun day at the Dairy Farm
