Jackson the Zebra

Today Camden took his first fieldtrip to Build-a-bear to help build his class pet. It was so awesome to see him interact with his teacher and fellow students. He just loves school! The two boys Camden has been talking about quite a bit, Riley and Alex, weren't there, but I saw many of his classmates. One Mom even said her little girl talked quite a bit about Camden...what a ladies man!

Here are some pictures of the class stuffing their new friend. The kids counted to five to add their share. Then they gave Jackson a bath.
His main teacher is Miss Rachel, the adult in the middle.
We can't wait for Camden's turn to bring Jackson home for the week.

Tiny Tackler

I recently enrolled Camden in a flag football league. He is in a 3 and 4 year old division and will have games every Saturday. This week he had his first practice and Christian was able to take him. From what I hear, he did fantastic!

They sent home a practice flag for Camden to practice with his sisters.Go Camden, Go! Hut, Hut, Hike! Camden as quarterback. I love it!

Here is a video of Camden running the with ball and the other kids are trying to pull his flag. So cute!

Camden has his first game on September 12, the day before his birthday. We can't wait!

Delaney 18 months

Our little girl is 1 1/2, yeah! So, what is she up to these days?

Chatty Cathy- Laney is quite the talkative little girl. I can't tell if she is just like her Mommy, older sister, or even older brother (we all talk a lot!) I can't even begin to list all the words she is saying, and I think 2-word phrases are starting to pop up. She loves to try and sing Happy Birthday and the ABC's, asks to eat constantly, and picks up random items and asks, "this," so we can tell her what it is.

Nicknames-Laneybug, Bug, Bugs, Laney, Lane, Laneycakes, Buggers

Discoveries-Her interests are becoming so much more obvious as she develops her own opinion of things. She loves Mickey Mouse and the other day was so excited as she ate because as she picked up the food, "Mouse" appeared on the plate under her food. Laney also loves pointing out pictures of Elmo even though she has never seen the show. (I really need to Tivo this)

Dancing Queen-She is still really into purses, carrying them all over the house, and dances whenever there is music playing.

Curly Sue-The other day, I tried to put a ponytail in her hair...it isn't quite long enough, but it will get there. She has cute curls though!

Modeling-I had her 18 month pictures taken, and of course there are purses in the picture, the best way to get her to cooperate.

I am a little behind in doctors appointments, so I will post these results at a later date, but I will end with a picture of our little bug (who starts Parent and Tot gymnastics class next week).

First days

Today marked the end of an era (so to speak). Makenna has reached the next step in life...school She started kindergarten, and Camden got his first taste of preschool.

First came Camden...he walked right into the preschool like he'd been going all along. We had anticipated a little resistance, or at least nervousness, but there was none! When Daddy told him, "I love you Camden," Camden said, "I love you too, Daddy, ALL DAY I love you." Then he said goodbye to me and walked inside.
Next we made our long drive to Makenna's school. We wanted her in the district I teach in because it is much better than the neighborhood schools, so we are making the long trek each day. Before school the kids were able to play on the equipment, so she played, by herself, but she played. When it came time to line-up, she gave us her hugs and kisses and waited patiently for the teacher to bring the class indoors.
Both kids read the same book today, The Kissing Hand, by Audrey Penn. It is a cute story about Chester the raccoon who is scared to go to school. The mom kisses his hand and says anytime you are scared, just touch your hand to your face and it will be like I am kissing you.

Then they made a handprint to bring home. So sweet.

It was a great first day of many!

Glamour Girl Party

Makenna celebrated her 5th birthday again, this time with her cousins and friends. It was a girly party where they got their hair, make-up and nails done. Makenna picked a braided hairstyle.

The girls decorated a banner for Makenna.
The girls put their own make-up on. They loved being "big girls" and wearing eye shadow, blush, body glitter and lipstick.

Next the girls participated in a fashion show on the red carpet. The girls were introduced by name, age and what they want to be when they grow up, here is what they want to be:

Makenna - teacher

Bailey - Sugar Plum Fairy

Emma - animal trainer

Riley - vet

Julia - teacher of vets (is she trying to top her sister or what?)

Morgan - a grown-up

Jacqueline - doctor

Alyssa - vet

We have a lot of people to help animals! Finally it was time for cupcakes and presents. The cupcakes were decorated with the same color hair as each girl. So cute! And Princess Makenna opened all her wonderful presents. She received some great presents! Thanks to all the glamorous girls that came to her party....it will be memorable!!!

Little Diva in the House

Our little Laney is a pint-sized diva. She absolutely loves purses, necklaces, sunglasses and bracelets. Whenever she is upstairs and I let her run free, she goes directly to Makenna's room to ransack her purses, puts one on her shoulder, tries to put on a pair of sunglasses and ALWAYS puts on a set of beads. She then RUNS around the house like this. (It's actually really hard to get a picture of her because she is all over the place.)

We may be in trouble with this little girl. Aunt Kelley is trying to coach her to only pick up Coach purses!

Girls Night Out

Kelley and I have been bestfriends for 17 years and our birthdays are only 1 day apart, this means we have shared many important birthdays together. Thirty was going to be no exception. She has some friends who feel like they know me because of this blog. I was so excited to finally meet them!

We met up at San Tan brewery for dinner. Kristin was so sweet to bring Kelley and I both boas and everyone bling for the occasion.
Amy joined me as the only other Queen Creek resident! (And she was so sweet to drive-usually that's my job!) Thanks for behaving and not getting us kicked out of the bar! :)

It was fantastic to meet my fellow blogger friend, Amie. I have been keeping up with her life for quite a while so it was nice to meet her in person. Here is everyone (I hope I get spellings right!) Denise, Edie, Kristin, Kelley, me, Amie, Amy, Tina
