First Day of Preschool...Take 2

So, Camden tried a new preschool this year and we have been having problems since he started. We waited for changes to be made, but it just wasn't getting any better so this Monday we took Camden back to where he went last year. They have an advance Pre-K class he can go in. The only downside is that he is now gone from home 4 mornings a week! I am going to miss the little guy! His only day off is Friday, which, unfortunately, is not a day off for me.

The first day went great and he was happy to see 5 people in his class that were with him last year.

Trip to Wichita...Niki's Birthday and Splash Pad

The day after the wedding, we had just as many plans! First off, it was my cousin Niki's 17th birthday. Niki was our flowergirl in our wedding when she was 8!

Now she's 17!
Niki, Lisa and me
Like mother, like daughter!

After lunch, we went back to Kathy and Greg's and had cake.

They have a gorgeous creek right behind their house that the we were all dying to go "creeking" in, but we had other plans for the day.

After Niki's party, we met Jenny, Joe, Ben, Maddie, Amy, and Blake at a Splash Pad. Grandma and my parents joined us too.

The kids were having a blast running through the water and letting it "blast" them. However, at one point we looked over and Camden and he had his pants down around his ankles, his rear-end facing a group of people sitting on some benches, letting water shoot up his bottom! I am not even kidding! It was so funny and embarrassing at the same time. The people on the benches were laughing, so it was okay, but Camden and I had to have a talk about how we don't pull down our pants in public, even if Uncel Greg does!
Cute little Blake.

I just love water pictures!
Look at the delight in their faces.
Then Todd and Katie were off to their honeymoon, and we were off to dinner.

Well, you have just seen DAYS of pictures. You can see now why I need to have a camera like my moms, so I can kill you with photos!!! I love it!!! It was a great trip and I love all the pictures I have to document it. Congratulations again Todd and Katie and thanks for getting us all to visit! :)

Trip to Wichita...The Reception

So, after the speeches, dinner, cake, etc, it was time for the first dance.
A couple of kids waited patiently, watching the bride and groom dance together for the first time as a married couple.
Then another little girl waited patiently. Still the couple danced.

Then a group of kids sat together, held hands as they eargerly awaited their turn to dance.

And as soon as the special dances ended, they were off!

The proud grand-parents watched as everyone celebrated their 8th wedding of their 9 grandkids. Guess who caught the boquet? Julia!
Katie iced Todd with the drink in her garter for the garter toss!
Then, back to dancing.

Nanny and Gramps and the Andersens (plus Niki's boyfriend Joey we got to meet!)

The bride, flowergirl and Delaney twirling in their dresses.
Cam quit dancing for a while to hang out with his new best friend, Devon!
Mom and Dad
And finally the next couple to be wed (June 2011). That will make all 9 grandkids married! Crazy!
We had a great time at your party Todd and Katie!

Trip to Wichita...Build-a-Bear

Katie took Makenna (the flowergirl) and Colton (the ring bearer) to Build-a-Bear the day before the wedding. It was such a perfect time for the two little kiddos to spend some time with the bride. Coltons aunt (Katie's sister) went along, but I thought Makenna would do better if I didn't go. (I just know her too well!)

I wasn't there, but they were nice enough to take pictures of the day and share them with me!

First the kids had to choose a heart for their animal.
Makenna selected a pink bear...go figure.

They had to pump the stuffing in with their foot, so Katie took a picture of Makenna's cute Twinkle Toes shoes.

Next the kids had to select an outifit. Evidently this was quite difficult for Makenna who was quite interested in accessorizing her bear. She settled for a cute pink skirt, peace shirt, and Katie let her get a sequin purse too.
Introducing "Love" as the newest bear in our family. Such an appropriate name I think. Thanks again Katie and Todd!

Oh yeah, since we've been home, Makenna has wanted to use her birthday money to buy more clothes and accessories for Love. :)
