Random Video Post

So, I think I am going to start going through some old videos and putting them on my blog when I get the chance. Here is one that is not that old that I just came across of Delaney dancing to her own music. This was taken February 20, 2011, just 2 days before Delaney turned 3.

Kickball

On Sunday we joined the Farmers at the park for a game of kickball. This was a great park though, so first the kids had to play, of course. They had a basketball court so Camden and Julia were happy.

The kids ran from one place to another.

Laney and Morgan rolled down the hill.

Then it was time for the game, boys against girls. That means boys (Greg, Christian and Camden) against girls (me, Megan, Julia, Makenna, Riley and Morgan).

Camden played great at 1st base.

We had a great time (I think the girls won! :)

Amococo

After the football games, we headed to an art exhibit downtown called Amococo. It is a luminarium made with an inflatable structure and lights. It was designed and created in London and the entire thing was handstitched.

Nana, Papa, Neena and our family were excited to see what everyone was talking about.

The outside of the structure looked like this.

And the inside looked like this. (I took this picture from the internet so you could see all the different colors at once). I was limited with my camera because it was low battery the whole time, so I took as many as I could before it died. The kids loved all the colors and how it changed throughout the structure.

The tunnels and walkways were supposed to resemble a stained glass painting.

There were great, open spaces to look up and just take it all in.

Papa and Makenna relaxed.

Camden and Delaney meditated.

while camden said he wanted it for his birthday, the adults all thought it would make a great place for a cocktail party. Glad we took the kids for an artistic experience!

1st Football Game of the Season

Well, this is a very exciting season for our Cardinals! Camden's team has upped their practice time to twice a week, and they gained a new member... Logan! We are so excited to have Camden and Logan on the same team, and Logan is just loving it!!

Daymon also started flag football this season, although he wasn't able to make it to his first practice. He did have his first game last weekend, and I think he was totally confused! He refused to run and only walked around the field, even when he had the ball. It was a little overwhelming for him, but I'm sure it will get better!

Even the tunnel made him upset!
Camden and Logan had a game the next hour.
Logan played so well, going after the flags and had a great run with the ball!

Camden had a great game too! It was the best game I've seen. He pulled 4 flags, caught the ball and had a great run! So much fun to see him more aggressive!
The Cardinals won 18-0. They have worked so hard this year. In the fall they only won 2 games and now they are one of the best teams!
Here are our 2 favorite players!
We look forward to more great games!

Spring Break...Friends and St. Patrick's Day/Poppy's Birthday

Makenna was able to have her friend Bailey spend the night one night. We picked her up and took her to Camden's football practice, where they could play at the park.

Logan is on Camden's team this season (so excited about this!) so Daymon was there to play with Delaney.
When we got back to our house, Bailey and Makenna got the beam out to practice cartwheels and dancing. Like they don't do that enough!

Then the girls watched Makenna's favorite movie, "Beverly Hills Chihuahua 2" and ate popcorn up in Makenna's room. Of course they went to bed WAY too late and got up WAY too early. So when they got up, Camden, Makenna and Bailey played their DSi's together.
After a few more hours of playing, I took all the kids to see Tangled at the discount theater. It was just as good the second time!
Here are the two great friends before we dropped Bailey off at her house.
That night we went over to celebrate Poppy's birthday, which also happens to be St. Patrick's Day. In case you are wondering, Delaney has a red face because the poor thing got scarlet fever. :( She if better now though.

Happy 60th Poppy!!! Glad we could be there on your big day!!!
