Go Cowboys!

Camden is a Cowboy, so I am now a Cowboys fan! I am, of course, talking about his new football team of 3 and 4-year-olds. His first game was today and it was exciting....I'm just not quite sure Camden understood what he was supposed to be excited about!

He was highly anticipating the roaring applause and adoring fans...he just had no idea he had to wear a mouthpiece with this sport. He was NOT happy about this! It took every ounce of Daddy's persuasion powers just to get the thing in, and then he just was sad for a while.

When it was his time to play, he was first up on defense. After the other team hiked the ball and they all ran down the field chasing the runner, Camden just stood there! And he didn't move. He just watched as we all yelled, "Run!" There was a lot of that this first game!

He did finally start running though!

The second half he was a little more okay with the mouthpiece and he was on offense. He played all the different positions and here is a video of him playing the runningback.

When he wasn't the running back, he just spun his arms side-to-side, dancing I think. Gotta work on that focus!
Speaking of focus, Nana Taylor got in some hotwater from our coach for some sideline behavior not encouraged in football. She was blowing kisses to Camden, and of course with Camden's lack of focus, he was blowing them back! Coach Michelle yelled, "These are football players, no blowing kisses Grandma!" The kissing stopped.

Overall the team did great, Camden did great, he had fun and we had a blast watching this chaos! Next week, same time, same place, with hopefully a little more intensity!!

Go Cowboys!
