Trip to Wichita - Zoo

So, I finally have the pictures from our trip Wichita! :) Prepare for new blog updates everyday for 5 days!!! I decided to break the pictures up because I just had so much trouble deciding between the over 1000 pictures my mom took, so there I picked a lot.

This was our first plane trip with all 5 of us.

While we were in Wichita, we stayed at Nanny and Gramps.

The night we got there, we all went over to Grandma and Grandpas. With about 20 people in the same room, it reminded me of when we got all of us cousins together over there at Christmas...crazy chaos...but fun!

The next morning we went to the zoo. Jenny and Joe gave us their free passes and we had so much fun! There was so much of it that I remembered from when I was little, but so much more has been added. Plus so much of the excitement was taking our kids. Todd, Blake, Marsha and my parents came along too.

First stop was the petting zoo.

Todd was so good with Blake. It is so easy to picture him as a Daddy someday!

I remembered loving the rainforest when I was younger, and it did not disappoint!

The coolest part of the day was being face to face with this grizzly bear. Literally inches were separating our faces as two of them played the water. It was amazing.

Happy Birthday Christian!

(I know the boys aren't wearing shirts, but it was the only recent one with all 3 kids, I guess this just gives me a photo assignment, more pictures with Christian and kids!)

Okay, I am going to steal a poem from a card my parents gave Christian, but it is SO true!

He knows how to make lasting friendships, he knows how to make people smile.

He knows how to "fit" in a family and stil be himself all the while.

He knows when to sit back and listen and when to tell one of his jokes.

He know show to make his wife happy and how to make a fans of her folks.

He knows how to keep a home happy and fill it with fun to the brim.

And this world would be so much nicer if there were more guys just like him.

This card could NOT be more perfect for you Christian. You are such an amazing husband, dad, son, son-in-law, brother, brother-in-law, everything! You make me so happy and I love you! Happy Birthday!

Cam's Birthday at Chucky Cheese

We offered to let Camden have a "real" birthday party with friends this year...wherever he wanted. We found some really cool places to have a party, but Camden wanted only one thing....Chucky Cheese! I guess it's probably our fault because we never take them there!

For friends, he only wanted his sisters and cousins. I guess for Camden, who never asks for anything, simple parties are best. Such a sweet boy he is!!!

Happy 5th Birthday Camden

Our little boy turns 5 today!! And what a sweet little boy he is! Camden, you are just the sweetest little boy, always thinking about other people and making sure they are happy, especially your sisters. You are SUCH a goofball too! You love to dance around silly and make up the craziest songs. You love to learn, and right now you are fascinated with dinosaurs, reading books, watching shows, and learning everything you can about them. You love the wii and it's so fun to watch you play table tennis (you even play the champion sometimes!) We love you so much Camden and love your crazy and sweet antics. Happy birthday buddy!

Sundays with Aunt Kelley

Remember how I said my camera fell from a really high ledge and the screen was cracked? Well, it is still cracked (duh), and I just haven't been a motivated to take pictures when I have no idea if the subject if the picture us even in the frame!

Well this weekend, I did take some pictures on my phone, so I will try blogging from my phone.....

Delaney's First Dance Class

Delaney had her very first big-girl dance class today! She has been wanting to go to Makenna's classes for a long time now, and it was finally her turn. She is in the Broadway Baby class.

Here she is all ready to go with her cute little dance bag.

Makenna actually started with the same teacher, Ms. Brigitte, when Makenna was almost 3. Brigitte was teaching at the rec center and Angela and I signed up Bailey and Makenna. For that entire summer I brought Makenna each week and she never participated! She never cried, just sat to the side and watched. It's so funny because now Makenna knows Brigitte so well that last year Brigitte choreographed her solo!

Delaney knows Brigitte, and with her more out-going personality, she did great. She participated the entire time and was such a good listener. After class she was so excited!

Can't wait to take her back next week!

Makenna's First Day of 1st grade

Makenna had her first day at a brand new school...the one I teach at! She is is 1st grade this year and the big change is going to school all day after only going to half-day Kindergarten.

I was able to choose her teacher so I know she is really nice. Here is Makenna and Mrs. Reese.

I am very excited to see Makenna at school whenever I want. :)

Camden 1st Day of Preschool

Camden had his first day at a brand new school this year. He is going to a private preschool where he is required to where a uniform.

Camden's favorite part of the day? "I got to eat pineapple, graham crackers and apple juice."

He's getting so big! :)
