The other day the kids, Christian and I sat down to watch the movie Sandlot. The kids got it for Easter from my parents and both Christian and I loved this movie as kids so we were so excited for the kids to see it. Also, with Camden so into baseball right now, it seemed like perfect timing.
I had forgotten about all the bad language in the movie! I guess with it being a bunch of boys being boys, it seems appropriate, but it's always difficult with your 4 and 3 year old watching. Luckily, with Makenna not being in Kindergarten yet, she and Camden have no idea what bad words are (she will find out soon enough).
So the kids watched the movie without asking any questions or commenting. Throughout the movie the kids are scared of this huge dog right by their baseball field, so the scenes with the dog are quite intense. Camden was very tense throughout these parts of the movie and clung to Christian. Right at the climax of the movie, the main character yells, "Oh, shi*!" as the dog jumps over the fence. Camden was so into the movie that he then yells, "Oh, ship!" just as loud. Christian and I looked at eachother and thought it was the funniest thing ever. Camden just keeps watching the movie. At least he didn't learn a new word!

Good to know! We just bought that movie this weekend and I didn't remember the language either.
