Canyon with Cousins and Kids

After Camden's football game (which he did a great job hustling at!) we headed off to Canyon Lake with the Farmers and my family from out-of-town. My cousin Leslie, her husband Matt and their 6 month old Roman were in for a weekend of wakeboarding. Also, my cousin Jenny, her 3-year-old Ben and 16-month old Maddie were here to spend some time with family. We were so excited to have them here!

Before we could even leave the parking lot to head to the lake, Makenna slipped and fell on some rocks, cutting her knee. While not a terrible injury, it was deep enough for us to question whether we should put her in the lake. She has been looking forward to wakesurfing all week! After consulting with a pharmacist, who just echoed our concerns for the risk of infection at the lake, we decided not to let her get in the water. She was very sad, poor thing. :(

At the lake, a few people boarded, we visited the beach, and a little surfing happened.

Laney and Maddie are only 3 months apart, but miles apart in height, weight, hair and teeth. Laney is much taller and weighs a lot more, Maddie beats Laney in hair and teeth. Hopefully these girls will grow up to be great friends.Toothless Julia.Sweet CamdenLove this one of Morgan and Makenna.

After the lake, everyone headed over to our house for an evening of Beatles Rockband and Wii Resort. We had a great time with everyone!
