The night after I got back from Kansas, I turned around and left the next morning for Makenna's competition at Hollywood Vibe. This was a convention/competition, so we were able to stay in the hotel and let the girls have some fun!
The girls got to learn from some fabulous teachers. Here they are with hiphop dancer Ray.
The most exciting teacher is one of my favorite dancers from So You Think You Can Dance, Ade. He was soooo good!! They learned a jazz dance from him.
Her are our fierce minis!!
Natilei, Bailey, Emma, Makenna, Sierra. During convention they are looking for stand-outs. There were probably 120+ dancers in the room, 8 and under. Makenna made the finals when they narrowed it to about 20. But she didn't get selected as a scholarship winner. I was proud of how hard she worked to try and learn the choreography.
There was also a competition. her are all the girls ready to dance!
Makenna ended up placing 1st overall for the Mini's! She received a platinum and $100. So exciting!
Her trio also won 1st overall! A great competition!
