We headed north for Father's Day weekend to spend the weekend with Christian's parents in their fifth wheel. With our family of five, Ross and Amy (which is soon to be 3 of them!), Pat and Paul and 2 dogs, we have really outgrown the fifth wheel.
It just so happens that Makenna and Camden have been talking about camping, so this was a great opportunity to ease into camping. We set up a tent just outside the trailer park and slept there. Perfect to sleep in, yet we spent the day at the park.

While we set up the tent, apparrantly Neena, Poppy and the kids wanted to play with the camera!

The playground here is always a hit.

According to Makenna, the best part of the whole weekend was the tire swing.

Dinner that night.

We were so excited to sleep in our tent that night. Now, we did use an air mattress (and yes, it's still camping that way Ross!) It took up the entire tent, so it was quite...umm... cozy with 4 people, 4 different sleeping bags and 4 (barely fit across) pillows.

The next morning, the park was using a lift to change some lightbulbs. They were nice enough to let me take the kids up too.

Then it was time for the kids quad ride. In order to leave the park area and follow the law, the kids are required to wear a helmet.

This, by the way, was Camden's favorite part of the trip.

We decided to give Poppy his gift early....a small shuffleboard game.

Delaney loved the independence of opening and closing the door. Silly girl!

Then the adults went on a quadride to the Bear Caves. It was this great place with huge cutout boulders that was so much fun to climb.

That night, my favorite, s'mores.

No more pictures of the weekend, but the second night in the tent was even better. I do have to say that Camden is a loud sleeper! He breaths so heavy and thrashes. I think I got kicked in the head 3 times! Makenna sleeps silent, until she blurts out random things.
The next morning was Father's Day where we had a fantastic breakfast (thanks!) and headed home.
So much fun, thanks Neena and Poppy!
