So I haven't blogged in a very long time. That is mostly because I wanted to make sure I included a post about what I did over Easter. That is unfortunately also when I went back to Kansas to say goodbye to Grandma. I didn't really feel like thinking about it.
Grandma was such a wonderful person. Someone at her funeral said she defined grace. That is probably the perfect word to describe her. She was a classy lady who also knew how to have a good time. She always seemed so put together knew just the right thing to say.
For some reason, all of us grandkids have always held her opinion of us as very important. She never judged, at least not outwardly. I knew she didn't always agree with choices we made, but you could count on her to not say anything about it and love us unconditionally.
Grandma was so giving. She prayed for all of us, and knew how to give everyone the attention they needed. She also gave snickerdoodles. I will never eat a snickdoodle without thinking of her (and comparing it to hers!!!)
I am so sad that we lost her, but with her 3 kids, 9 grandkids and 16 great grandkids (and I'm sure there will be more) I am so happy we will carry on the wonderful memories of her.
