Well, to continue with our sick week, Makenna had her Kindergarten graduation today. Unfortunately she was still sick. I was so sad when I had to tell her she couldn't go. Then I called her teacher to let her know. The teacher asked if we could bring her just for a little bit. She told me Makenna was the finale. She needed her to be there if possible.
Christian asked her if she wanted to, and of course she said yes.
Despite dead battery in the car, we did manage to make it to her graduation (20 minutes late unfortunately). She got to do her finale after she received her award. She read all the tricky train words.
She received "Best Reader" award. Mrs. Mellow said she is a fabulous reader. Way to go Makenna!
It was a bittersweet day. I am so sad to see her moving out of Kindergarten and growing up, but so proud of all she has done. Her report card was amazing and she is growing into such a smart little girl. I know she will love 1st grade....and so will I because she is going to my school!
We are so proud of you sweetie!!!
