Okay, first off, the trip was amazing! We had such a wonderful time, and all the kids LOVED it. What's not to love????
While we waited for everyone to be ready, the girls started with their latest obsession, the clapping routines. Remember those ladies???
So excited to get in!!!
This picture cracks me up. Camden and Morgan are just trouble together!
All 15 of us.
From the first day, we decided that we would "buddy up." When you are outnumbered by kids and in such a busy place, this is a must. So each kid had to find a buddy. Of course Morgan and Camden buddied up, Daymon and Delaney (the HARDEST buddy group to watch because Daymon is a wanderer), Riley and Logan, and Makenna and Julia. Everyone was happy.
Two adults had to be assigned to this partnership. Plus, Delaney had Diesel, her class pet, to take care of!
The first ride we went on was Pirates of the Carribean. We started with the bigger rides because Greg only was going to be able to stay for 1 1/2 days. This was probably NOT the best ride to start out Delaney. She was pretty freaked about the dark. So, then what was the next ride? Something tame for Delaney? Um, no, Haunted Mansion. Again, not the best choice. I didn't really know what else to do. Then everyone wanted to go on Splash Mountain, so I dragged her on this one. She liked it....kind of.
I rode in the first car with the majority of the kids.
Then the adults, plus Camden and Morgan.
Great picture!
Delaney faithfully carried Diesel around all day.
After many of the bigger rides, we headed over to Toon Town. This was a good break for Delaney.
The kids did all the fun toon things.
We had them all wait in line to get their picture with Pluto. The picture was supposed to be taken with Pluto in jail. Trying to coordinate 8 kids to be able to see out the bars was hard.
So, Pluto just walked out.
At least it seemed that way. Then he motioned the kids over and found an area large enough for our group and indicated that he wanted them to line up tallest to shortest (which we just say is oldest to youngest, Makenna is actually not taller than Camden, but that is another post!)
Look, the Elite Eight!
Pluto rocks!
Then onto a ride, Roger Rabbit (who they have no idea about!)
Mickey's house is in Toon Town and we had to see Mickey!
Julia looks like she thinks she's in trouble. Don't touch that Julia! :)
The kids loved that everything looks like it's in a cartoon.
Daymon getting comfy.
The boys.
I did not take this picture and crop off Megan!
LOVE this one!
Yummy cake.
Riley's face cracks me up! I think she was pretending to be the Evil Queen in Snow White.
Aww.
Aww again.
They did pretty good, plus the photographer there took a picture which I will hopefully get.
Mickey pointed to our shirts and gave a thumbs-up. He liked them! Then we did family pictures.

Not Makenna and Nana.
One of the best parts is always It's a Small World.
Delaney was very excited that this ride wouldn't, "Go up really high, and then down really fast and make my tummy feel weird."
I just love this picture.
So did the big kids.
We all headed over to California Adventure at dinnertime, and then spent the rest of the first day over there. Right after dinner, Daymon crashed. He crashed each day. I think this is a sign he had a great time!
The girls eating dinner.
Random, but I like this one.
Look, Delaney has Diesel.
The kids and I rode at the front. This ride is amazing!
After the ride, we went over to see Crush, the Sea Turtle, where we realized that Diesel was missing. Daddy put him under the seat for Soarin' and left him there! When he and Papa walked back there, they luckily were able to get him. Nice one Daddy! Delaney held onto him after that.
Next up, we went on the Tower of Terror. Everyone that is, except Greg and Delaney. This was my other favorite ride. Not many of the kids liked it though, only Makenna, Logan and Riley. I loved that each time you ride is different, so you never know when the ride is going to drop or how many times.
The night ended with some easy rides for the kids in the Bugs area. Here they are on the ladybug ride.
And Mom and I rode the caterpillar together.
A fabulous first day!
