Disneyland Day 2

So I realize there are WAY too many pictures, but because I turn my blog into a book, I am putting a lot of them out there.  Feel free to zoom past them if you wish! :)

On the second day, all of us were able to get into the park an hour early with our 3 day hopper pass.  Everyone except Nana, Papa and Greg.  Mom and Dad bought season passes, so they didn't include early entrance. :(  And Greg only had a 2 day hopper.

Well, it just so happened that this was a "Candy Cane Day"  There are only a few of them a year, and it is a pretty big deal.  Upon entering, you have to run to wait in line to get a voucher to get one of these specially made candy canes. Megan and I ran ahead of everyone and when we hopped in line, they made it very clear that no one could join us in line after this.  It's taken very seriously!  We managed to get 2 vouchers and then came back later and watched them make these.  Of course we gave them to mom!
This is what the candy canes looked like.  I found this photo online.
After the candy canes, came the next big fiasco.  There aren't many rides open before the normal hours, but the rockets were. The kids ran ahead to get in this line, with only me.  Megan, Michelle, and Christian hung back.  So the kids run on in and jump in a rocket.  Well, then we found out that you can only ride the rocket without an adult if you are 7 years old.  That means that 4 of our 8 need an adult (Camden, Morgan, Daymon and Delaney).  I am yelling to Megan, Michelle, and Christian to hurry up because I need them to ride (it was quite chaotic if you can picture this) while I rearrange kids so each one can be appropriately placed.  The attendant was not too happy about this.

Well, the ride starts, and we start to go up, and then just as quickly, we start slowing down and come to a stop.  I am just thinking, "I hope my kids have nothing to do with it." (and Delaney and Camden are with adults anyway!).  Well, come to find out, Riley and Makenna decided they wanted to sit side-by-side in the rocket instead of front to back.  Again, the attendant was not too happy.  The fixed the problem, while I pretended not to be related to them, and we went on our way.  Not a good way to start out!
So, after this and some breakfast, my parents were able to join us and we headed to Tarzan's Treehouse.

I had my friend make an additional shirt for my kids.  I think they turned out SO adorable.
Then we rode Pirates of the Caribbean, and here is Camden with his pirate shirt in front of the pirate ride.
Papa seemed to have all the kids.
Then Jungle Cruise.
So sweet.
Then we went on Star Tours.  This is when Greg had to leave to go home.  Sorry Greg!
Morgan is definitely Greg's daughter.

So cute!

After Star Tours, we decided to head to California Adventure.  The taller kids wanted to ride California Screamin' (I say taller because Makenna is just as old as Logan and REALLY wanted to ride, but she just wasn't tall enough).

When we got there, the ride had to be closed down for an undisclosed amount of time so we headed to the climbing area.  Great place to get out that energy.

What's up Riley?

Seriously this picture would be so adorable if Camden didn't have this sad expression. I think Makenna stepped on his hand or something.  It's always someone, right?

 Now here's a great picture!

The kids got to try and climb across the rocks.

 And then the adventurer's pledge.
After this the Little Mermaid ride, one of Delaney's favorites.
We decided to sit here to wait for a show.  The kids had no idea who was going to show up...
 ...
 Phineas and Ferb!
I think Michelle was happy too!
All the kids except Daymon got up and danced with the Rocking party.  The kids loved hearing their favorite songs, like Gitchee Gitchee Goo, and Squirrels in my Pants.  So much fun!!!

This was a highlight for all of them.
The the taller kids headed to California Screamin.
Megan and Julia

Dad, Riley, Logan, and Michelle
Mom, Christian and I took the shorter kids over to Toy Story Mania.  I was really trying to make this fun because Makenna was really sad to not go on the upside down roller coaster.  I felt so bad for her, but at least this ride was fun!
Don't ya just love Daymon's gangsta expression? And Delaney's upside down glasses?

Morgan and Camden

This was one of Daymon's favorite rides.
There wasn't much time after this until the park closed, so we headed to Bug Life for one of the last showings.
I love this picture of Mom and Dad.
While we waited for it to start, everyone had fun with their glasses.

The Farmers

The Taylors minus Daymon who was sleeping.

Us
After Bug's Life I took Makenna over to ride Tower of Terror again (no one but Michelle and Dad wanted to go with us).  The other kids went to ride the Bugs rides again.
Then we watched the colors show.  It was beautiful.  Another fantastic day!
So freakin cute!
